Air movement in the subfloor plenum will eventually circulate microscopic contaminants through the perforated panels and into and around the data center.  This coupled with contaminants circulated in the room above the sub floor will cause contamination of floor mounted equipment and cabinets.  

A quick visual inspection on top of server cabinets; inside the back of cabinet doors; and on the floor surface around equipment often reveals areas where accumulation of soil is common.  This soil should be removed.  A professionally implemented and properly scheduled preventative maintenance program will minimize accumulation of particulate, keep the environment clean, enhance the performance of cooling and processing equipment and present a clean environment to associates and visitors.
